NO TOOLBAR & Run Time Error Word 2000 (Office 2000 Suite)

D

DENA

I tried to open word 2000 part of Office Suite OEM Version
and got : Runtime error '-2147024809(80070057)' Cant move
focus to the control because
it is invisible, not enabled, or of a type that doesn't
accept the focus.
Then a box comes up with 4 buttons END & Help are are
available, except the Help button opens a window with
nothing there. When I clicked END, a document opened but
it has NO TOOL BAR, except it for 2 icons BOTH ARE PDF
ICONS. (Convert to PDF) & (Convert PDF to email)

any ideas how, or why? to correct ?

Hi Dena,

This sounds like an AutoExec macro from some addin or other,
most likely PDF, from your description :) (Good
observation!)

You might try through the Windows Control Panel if Adobe has
given you a way to uninstall its addin.

If not, you need to track down which folder is being used as
your Word "STARTUP" folder. You should be able to see this in
Word: Tools/Options/File locations. Go into that folder and
MOVE the addin out of it.

Then contact Adobe - if you want to use the addin - and ask
them what's wrong! (You may even find information on their
website, as I imagine it's not an uncommon problem.)
