No transport provider

Darryl

Greetings,
I am running Outlook 2000 in Windows 2000 professional.

I've noticed that I get:

'(e-mail address removed)' on 4/27/2004 1:17PM
No Transport provider was available for delivery to this recipient.

frequently. I replaced the real email address in the failure message
with (e-mail address removed) to protect the real address.

This happens with multiple email addresses to multiple domains.

What is causing this and how do I fix it ?

thanks,
Darryl

Look at your POP3 and SMPT settings under the Tools-
Services...then look under "servers" tab. Be sure you
have the SMPT designation spelled correctly and that it
should be in lower cast. This type of error is almost
always that the SMPT is not spelled correctly.
Good luck

Are you using Exchange & Internet Mail in the same Outlook profile? This
isn't supported & causes this problem frequently...the common answers in
(my) order of preference are to a) have Exchange host all Internet mail
directly b) use different profiles in Outlook or c) use OE for Internet
mail.
