No Update on Outlook Mailbox Inbox Drag 'n Drop Broken

About a month ago I placed the following, but with no helpful
response:

Drag 'n drop is broken. The user wants to drag email from the main
inbox into subfolders. Outlook 2003 is working from an Exchange
Server. Drag 'n drop stopped working completely. I have rebooted,
repaired (didn't fix it) and then reinstalled (didn't fix it) Outlook
2003. I have also completely uninstalled and then reinstalled it,
rebooting the computer each time. Nothing has fixed it. It is not
caused by the data file itself, since I can set it up on a different
workstation where it works perfectly. The only problem is on this one
workstation.

Any ideas on this would be much appreciated. It was working fine
until one day when it stopped dead in its tracks.

What happens when you try? Any error messages?
Does it work in Outlook Safe Mode?

Just spoke to the user. She said it is working now. She went on
vacation and now it works. No idea why.

Hi there

I've had the same problem. :?

User running XP Pro SP3 & Outlook 2003 SP3 on Exchange 2003 SP2.

Intermittently unable to drag & drop messages from (eg) Inbox to subfolders. User can still right-click & select Move to Folder though.

We've tried all sorts of reinstalls to no avail. Problem just goes away by itself eventually, but usually recurs some time later.

Not seen on any other users, nor other machines. Hence if user opens their Outlook on a terminal server or another PC, they can drag & drop files as normal.

Anyone know of a solution please?

Thanks very much

When it happens, does starting in safe mode fix it? Start - run - Outlook
/safe?
