I tried this question on the general Outlook forum, but got no responses.
Hope someone here can help.
I get a weird laser-like sound, loud, when I boot up Outlook 2007 public
beta, and I can't find it. It was not there when I first downloaded and
installed Outlook 2007, and I've added and reconfigured so much software that
I don't want to do a restore to previous to this work. But somehow, I now
have a loud, irritating, screeching noise everytime Oultlook boots.
I have unchecked tools > options> other> advanced
options> Provide feedback with sound. I loaded the optional sounds and
uninstalled them. I have searched for any .wav file that resembles this
sound and deleted them, but I still have it.
I went to Sounds and Audio Devices on the Control Panel and in the Sounds
tab selected No Sound, and eliminated all other Windows sounds, but I still
have this loud scream when I boot Outlook.
I can't find a check box to uncheck for Add Obnoxious Screeming Noise When
Booting.
Any ideas?
