Windows 2K3, Project 2K3, Same box has AD and Exchange 2K3.
My AD accounts cannot view the project list in PWA unless they are members
of the domain admins group in AD. Even if they are members of the
administrators group in project server, they still get the message, "There
are no projects to display in this view. You either do not have permissions
to see any projects in this view or the projects you have permissions to view
have not yet been published. Contact your server administrator."
I followed all the directions in Article ID: 810596. I applied SP1 and the
post-SP hotfix.
The "view effective rights tool" shows that the users should have access...
especially the ones that I gave admin rights in project server.
This seems to imply an AD issue. But I ran filemon and it doesn't show any
access denied errors at the time I get the message (or the time immediately
prior).
To clarify, as a sys admin, my account in AD is a member of the domain
admins group. When I go to view a project or the project list in PWA, I have
no problems. However, none of my project managers (who are not members of
the domain admins group) can see the project list or any of the projects. If
I temporarily add them to the domain admins group, they can see everything.
The other thing I did was to try to set permissions to the program files >
project server 2003 directory to everyone - full control. But that didn't
make a difference either.
If you can figure this one out, I'd be impressed.
