non-admin permissions

We're having a problem where ALL users are able to customize the PWA homepage
and other PWA components on our 2007 version of server.

I've "soft denied" the 'contribute to pwa' and ALL admin permissions. Am I
missing something?

We don't want all our users to have access to change the enterprise/default
view of PWA. For instance, a team member removed a webpart from the homepage
and all users, enterprise wide, could see the change. Is there a way to
prevent this?

Thank you in advance!

You'll need to change permissions in SharePoint, rather than in PWA.
Go to the Site Actions and select Site Settings. Navigate to Users and
Groups and modify the groups to disallow customization of the
SharePoint site.

One of the most confusing aspects of MOPS is the delineation between
MOPS and SharePoint. You control most things in MOPS Admin, but
there's a lot in SharePoint too. This actually is a good thing, in
that it gives you a lot of flexiblity. However, it can be difficult to
remember what gets adjusted where.

That seemed to do the trick! You're right...the switch between SharePoint
and PWA gets me every time!

It appears I locked down their permission to do ANY customization. Is there
a way to allow them to customize their own homepage or is it all or nothing?

Thank you so very much!
