Non-English Code Conversion

I have a set of utilities for Project 2000-2003 that are implemented in VB6
as a COM add-in. We've picked up some French Canadian users so I've been
told that I'll have to translate everything to French (messages, button
text, report headers, etc.) What do I need to test this stuff? IS there some
way to switch back and forth to Fench from English versions of Project and
Office? What are the implications as far as assumptions about text in
Project itself (soft-coding of time abbreviations, for example)?

Thanks in advance,

Hi,

I have some (not much) experience with translating from and to
French/English.
Problems encountered are on object names f.i.
ViewApply
FilterApply
Big problems also in the making of filters as Project expects the keywords
("equals") in the local language.
And yes reading dates from a string field is tricky: "8/7/6" is a different
date depending on the regional settings.
Hope this helps,
