Non-enterprise project error

A user is trying to publish a project plan to the Server,
and receives the error "You are trying to publish a non-
enterprise project to Microsoft Project Server. The
administrator settings on the server do not allow you to
publish non-enterprise projects."

The user belongs to the Project Managers group, and other
users in this group can publish project plans w/out a
problem. The user has also published other projects,
which are visible through Web Access. Ideas?

It sounds like the PM is trying to publish an .mpp project rather than an
enterprise project. He/she should import the nonenterprise project into the
Project Server database using Tools - Enterprise Options - Import Project to
Enterprise and then publish the project. Hope this helps.
