non-online office 2000 upgrade

What and where do I need to download to upgrade office 2000 in order to burn
a CD to upgrade a machine without a broadband connection
thanks

2000 upgrade or update? There is no file to download for an upgrade - upgrades are purchased at retail. If you mean updates, it depends entirely on what the current status of the software shows.

Have you tried going out to Office Downloads and selecting Office 2000 to browse the downloads?

Sorry, I mean update to Office 2000;
I think it is SR1a and then SP3, but for each it wants to load an installer
and then grab the files it needs on-line, I just want the actual files to
burn to CD and give to my father as he does not have broadband. I imagine it
is what a company does rather than d/l for each installation. Still
looking......
thanks.

I

And that should read update FROM Office 2000.
Seems here there is a fast initial response and then little or no follow-up
We will see if I am misguided in this
thanks

Did you not read Milly's response?

"Have you tried going out to Office Downloads and selecting Office 2000 to
browse the downloads?"

Seems there is little or no follow-up from you.

In case you didn't know, this is a volunteer staffed news group. Most of us have outside lives and with the holidays approaching, spend less time on others and more time on family and friends.

Pardon me for not being at your beck and call.

sorry but I assumed that you were all MS employees and this was part of MS
support as you all have Microsoft email, it has official MS styled logos, and
comes under the microsoft.com domain, but I stand correct and apolgise.

I did check what was suggested, but this points to a d/l that needs to be
done on-line. As my question requested I want to d/l the actual files that
are required for Office SR1a and SP3 to burn to CD to give to my father who
does not have Broadband. If I try it it just reports that I already have SR1a
and SP3 and will not proceed.
I imagine there must be a link to the actual 10-100Mb files I need for the
update and I cannot find this, can someone on the inside of MS provide this
for me.
thanks
