Non print

Hello;

Is there a way that I can place a picture (or even some text, for that
matter) on a page or header/footer and not have that item print?

TIA;
Chris

Select the picture, CTRL-Click and choose Format Picture... on the
context menu, and uncheck the Print object checkbox in the Properties
tab.

Hello;

I can only find the Format Object window which does not have a
Properties tab.

What am I doing wrong?

Dunno - sounds like you don't actually have a picture, but some other
object. Did you try Format Object/Properties ?

Hello;

When I double click on a pic, I get the Format Picture window which has
the tabs Colors and Lines, Size, Layout, Picture, Text Box (grayed
out); but no Properties.

I'm using Word 2004 v11.1.

I feel as though some messages on this thread vanished, but perhaps this
will be helpful:

In Word | Preferences, Print, you can tell Word *not* to print *any* drawing
objects. That will also trap all floating images, but not in-line images.
It will also trap text boxes, I think.
