non-printing object in Publisher 2003

I want to create objects on a master page that I can see on my screen layout
but that will not print. The non-printing objects are for use as place
holders to keep me from putting anything in that area of the page. Does
anybody know how I can do this?

If the objects are on the Master Page, view, check ignore Master Page. They will
not print.

Thanks, Mary, that does work. I was hoping, though, to permanently designate
an object so that it was always visible on the screen but never prints,
without having to throw in the extra steps of first applying the master page
and then ignoring the master page. I am laying out a church bulletin and will
be revising it every week, and the bulletin paper has certain pre-printed
objects I need to work around in my layout. Thanks for your help!

I tried that, too, and it works, Charles. Thanks. It has the added advantage
of not letting me accidently move my guides. However, I'm laying out a
two-page spread (church bulletin) and the lines on the facing page are
distracting. Even though it wasn't quite what I was looking for, it was
helpful information.
