Non-Project Time Reporting

L

Leanne

I am currently using Project Server 2002 and MS Project 2002 and it gives you
the capability of creating a non-project time task for reporting; however,
once you add time to the new category which appears under your task list,
there doesn't seem to be a way of reporting amounts entered for all
resources.

It doesn't show up in the Project Portfolio Analyzer, nor can it be viewed
in a project plan because it is not associated with a project. I am trying
to use this field for time accrued on general project maintenance requests on
closed projects where the time is too insignificant to generate a new project
plan yet necessary to be tracked.
Any suggestions? Thanks
Leanne

Two thoughts:
1) Create a new task in the "closed" project and report your time against it.
2) Upgrade to Project Server 2003 SP1
