Hey_now
Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel
I can't seem to get PowerPoint 2008 to recognize my selected font (Quay, which I purchased for Mac.) I format the text, see Quay listed in font properties box, and make my selection--but the text on screen/on the slide doesn't change.
Quay is listed as a choice in the Font properties box (all variations of the font as well), and I can change all other aspects of the font, but the actual font appearance stays the same (it appears PowerPoint is substituting Arial.) Everything appears to be properly set in Font Book.
I even contacted fontshop.com, where I purchased the font. They sent me the latest version of teh type face and instructed me in how to properly uninstall the font and clear out my cache. Unfortunately, the problem continues.
As a check, I tried using Quay in a Word 2008 document, and it works perfectly.
Any thoughts?
I hate to give up and waste the money, but is there another type of font I should try? I'm tired of banging my head against the wall.
