None of the templates fit what I need. How do I create one?

I need tocreate a chart for college, but none of the templates fit into what
I want to do. I'm lost. What do I do?

First plan out what you want information you want your form to collect, and how you want it presented to the user. Then drag and drop controls into the view and create your layout.

I'm not sure what exactly your asking for, but the question sounded like an "I've never touched InfoPath before" kind-of question.

You're right, I've never done this before. You'll have to explain it in a
little more detail than that. Where do I put the info I want made ino a chart
and how to I collect it for chart making?

Drag and drop control types into the view (Text Box, Drop-Down Box, Date Picker, etc) for each bit of information you want to collect (you should already have a list of questions, or whatever the data is you want to collect).

If you have an Access or SQL database to use, you can have the data stored out there. Otherwise it saves as individual XML files per form.

Then you have to figure out what this "chart" is--what it looks like, what data it presents in what way -- and if InfoPath can present it at all (like pie charts aren't so easy in InfoPath). You might find that loading all the data into Excel would be better for the charting. If you are saving to a database, you might be able to do better reporting (charting).

Your required tasks and project are still very vague--so my responses must be too, sorry.
