Hi,

I have just installed outlook 2003 (as part of office 2003).

I created my email account and was able to send outgoing mails and to
receive inbound emails.

I then added my hotmail account to outlook, then removed it because I
couldn't get outlook to send a mail from the non hotmail account.

After removing the hotmail account from outlook I am not able to send
outgoing mail from my normal account.

I receive an immediate reply stating 'None of your e-mail accounts could
send to this recipient'.

Any ideas please?

Have you recreated your profile or verified that the profile is properly
created? It almost sounds as though you're not authenticating to your ISP?

I've deleted my email account and recreated but still get the same problem.

Authentication shouldn't be the issue as outgoing mail was working earlier
today.

How do I recreate my profile? I tried to delete the outlook.pst file but it
won't let me?

Hi,

I followed the document and created a new .pst file and a new profile which
delivered to the new .pst. Deleted the old profile and deleted the original
..pst file.

I still get exactly the same problem and cannot send email but can receive.

Any ideas please?

Further to my last message, I've just noticed that the FROM is left blank in
the Sent folder?

I CAN send a mail to myself and then the FROM is populated.

Any ideas why the FROM is left null? presumably this is causing the problem?
again, any idea why this would happen only after adding and then removing a
hotmail account from outlook?

Hi.I had exactly the same problems as the OP and the only way I found of
rectifying it was to uninstall outlook completly and start from scratch but
leave any hotmail accounts out of outlook.The hotmail accounts are the
cause,no doubt about it.I use outlook for my pop3 mail and outlook express
for hotmail.

Did you have to do anything special with the uninstall and reinstall of
Office 2003 other than remove the programs through Add/Remove Software?

Reason I ask is that is that I understand uninstalling Office 2003 won't
delete the email profiles and .pst files, etc. and I'm not sure where the
actual problem resides, e.g. somewhere in the Outlook code once Hotmail is
added, in the registry, or profiles, etc.

Would you mind telling me your uninstall/reinstall steps? hopefully then on
reinstall everything will be ok.

NickE-From memory I did the following:-
I removed all accounts from outlook,pop3 and hotmail.I then added back the
pop3 accounts but still had the problem.
So I removed pop3 accounts again and then uninstalled outlook 2003 using
change/remove feature in office 2003 add/remove programs.Please note that
trying detect and repair from the help menu did not work.
I then cleaned registry and rebooted.Think I used regcleaner.
I reinstalled outlook 2003 and added back in my pop3 accounts and since then
I have had no problems.I use outlook express to access hotmail accounts.
I think outlook 2003 will tell you it has found email accounts.Just decline
to add the hotmail one or ones.
I did ask the same question on here some 5 months ago but I never got a
reply that solved the problem so I had a go myself and I came up with the
above kill or cure.

Just tried to uninstall/reinstall the outlook component and back with the
same problem.

Also uninstalled all of office then installed and same problem again.

Can you remember anything specific in the registry you removed? or did you
just let regcleaner do it?

Also, when I reinstalled office I included SP1. Have you got it working with
SP1 or without?
