Nonworking time, task specific

Is there a way to make a specific task happen on a nonworking day but only
that task? For example, if I schedule "cutover" to take place on Saturday the
10th of April, project gives me the option to make saturday a working day.
Great. But then any tasks that may follow April 9, let's say, will now be
scheduled for April 10. I only want a specific task to be working on
Saturday. Is this possible to do in project? Thanks!

Hi jmh,

A task calendar may be what you need. Go to Tools > Change Working Time
and click New. Create a new calendar with the specific working time you
need. Close the Change Working Time dialog box after you have created
the calendar. Double click on the task in question and on the Advanced
tab, select the calendar you just created.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

I think I would go to tools/change working time and then I would change
the working time for those resources working on the cutover to include
that date.

This may have the effect of allowing other tasks to which those
resources are assigned to be scheduled for that day. If that is the
case then you can assign the normal calendar to those tasks by double
clicking on the task name and assigning the calendar through the
advanced tab.
