noone knows how to open mdi files under microsoft XP ? (5 questions concerning this!)

Hello,
it would be very urgent and important to me to open mdi.files. I have word97
and I know someone who has officeXP. But microsoft document imaging opens
only tif files. How can I open mdi files?

Hi Thomas,

MDI files are new to Office 2003. There is no current
viewer for them available for earlier verisons from MS.
You may want to try the message boards for Thumbsplus at
http://cerious.com to see if they've worked out a method
for opening the MDI files in their program. The MDI file
format is a TIFF derivative and they may be able to work
out a solution there. (They've opened other 'not supported'
file formats in the past)
