Nordic characters not displayed correctly

If we write letter Ä (Char code 00C4) and font size is 11 or 12 and and zoom
is set to 75% occassionally the dots from Ä are missing.
Has anybody noticed that too? This is the same at least in Word 2000, xp and
2003.
Ã… (00C5) is missing the top of the dot.

I sometimes see it with "Å", and it depends not only on the font size
and the zoom, but also on the line spacing and on the specific font
used. But it's always a display issue only, so I don't see it as a big
problem (although somewhat annoying).
