Normal.dot always being changed

Every time I open Word 2002 the normal.dot is changed. I
do not have to type anything at all. Once I open word and
close it down I get the message that the normal.dot has
been changed and do I want to save it. I uninstalled
Office xp pro and then re-installed it and I get the same
message. This does not happen on my other two machines
using Office xp pro. What can I do to stop this from
happening?
