I have just reinstalled winXP pro and office 2000 and my templates
apart from normal.dot as I wanted to recreate one with customization
that would be different from my old normal.dot (eg various palm
programs that need to be reloaded and have their menu buttons added by
the installation rather than by the preexisting template).
I did install hebrew as an alternative language but the default
setting is English. At some stage tonight, the default language in my
styles is arabic Saudi Arabia. When I delete normal.dot and start
Word again to recreate it, this is still the language chosen and I
cannot modify it in the modify style window.
In my control panel language settings, English is definitely the
default language and Arabic does not appear.
I can swap between Hebrew font and English font by pressing the
default button settings (left alt) and (Left Shift) as intended.
But I do not understand how to have my normal.dot only refer to my
default language.
