Normal.dot not saving

Clang

In Word 2003 -- After customizing toolbars I am no longer receiving the
messages that asks if I want to save the normal.dot. Under
Tools/Options/Save the prompt to save normal template is checked. I have not
had a problem with this until just the last couple weeks. Does anyone know
what could have caused this to start happening? I have full administrative
rights so it is not a permissions problem.

Thanks

Did you install Adobe Acrobat 7.0 in the last couple weeks? If
yes, then the Acrobat 7.0 Create Adobe PDF toolbar add-in for
Word prevents Word from automatically saving changes to the
normal.dot template (which is where toolbar customizations are
stored). See http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/331259.html
for several solutions to the problem.

I have actually had Adobe Acrobat 7.0 installed since I installed this
computer with no problems until last week. However, I did update Acrobat
late yesterday afternoon and that seems to have fixed the problem. But
thanks for your response, after I installed Acrobat yesterday and the problem
was fixed I thought maybe I was loosing it. Nice to know there was actually
an explanation.

Thanks again
