Normal.dot Template

I've just recently started using Word 2007 & have downloaded a calendar
template from Microsoft - now, this calendar template is my default;
everything I've tried from Help doesn't seem to eliminate this default. I
want the blank Word normal.dot template re-set as my default - any
suggestions?

The article that you suggest is not completely accurate. It is missing the
step on where to locate the normal.dotm template.
Remember that the open dialog box may open anywhere.

It shouldn't matter where Open starts, the places bar should have either a Templates or 'Trusted Templates' list item in the Places
bar unless it's been customized to remove it, and that should take you to the default location of Normal.dot (pre Word 2007) or
Normal.dotM (Word2007).
