Normal.dot wants to save

If I want to change a Word template (including Normal.dot) I will log on as
Admin etc etc.

Logged on as non-Admin user, shutting down Word, it says it can't save
Normal.dot yaditty yaddity blah.

Options allow you to turn on/off prompt to save Normal.dot, but not turn off
the save attempt.

What am I missing???

So I take it that there is no way to turn off Word trying to save normal.dot
when it closes????

And yet when logged on as non-Admin user, Word can't save normal.dot ?????

Odd ??????? Or am I missing something??????
