An acquaintance asked for help with MS Word. When he opens Word, it opens
with a document called Document2. That is a document he had previously
created. SO:
I told him to find Normal.dot and to rename it to Normal.old. While I had
him on the phone, he accomplished that task. I then told him to open Word,
which he did. Well, the same old Document2 opened.
A search for document*.* did not find any files. I also had him do another
search for Normal.dot and that search returned nothing. However, each time
he opens Word, it still opens with Document2.
Hmmm, any ideas as to what is happening?
Thanks,
Ken
