Normal template

Q

Quinceydian

Sometimes when I am on my computer, this window opens about a file called
"normal" and ask if I want to save it or save a new version. It is a normal
template but I have no idea what it is or why it was created. It just pops
up on it's own. The type of file is "document template" and it ask if I want
to save it in template and the name of it is "normal". IF you double click
the file it tells you it already exist and ask if you want to replace it.
Can I safely delete this? What the heck is it? Thanks

One other thing I might add to this is if I delete it it will affect the
Global template", whatever that is. I did delete "normal" sending it to the
recyle bin but then my computer tells me there have been changes made to the
global Template and ask if I want to save them. I said "no" because I have
no clue the repercussions. THanks
