Normal Versus Preview mode..FP2002

I am designing a page in FP 2002.
I have run into the following problem...
I design in "normal" mode, which I am assuming is the only mode that this
can be done in.
When the page is laid out/text is formatted as I want ( in normal mode) I
switch to "preview".
Here in lies the problem, formatting is different, there is more space
between paragraphs, lines breaks are different etc.
Question is, how do I get the preview view to be exactly the same as the
normal ( in which I design the page)view?
Thanks

You really can't get preview to look exactly like normal view because
one of the problem with Preview is that you are not really looking at it
through an internet browser. It is probably better for you to save the
file and go to view it with a browser. The other problem I have found
with Preview is that in Normal view you have to take into account that
your workspace is limited to all the "task panes" that are open. As long
as you set the spacing and pixels on your page, it should come out
exactly how you want it on the web. I have been designing website for a
number of years and Preview is only good for me to make sure that links
are working other than that, layout is best viewed in a browser. The
nice thing about using any editing & designing programs is that all the
original are saved on your harddrive. Once you look at it in a browser
and you find out it is not something you like, you can edit it before
posting to the internet.

Thanks for the reply
I guess I am a little confused as to why the Normal mode doesn't represent
what you are designing, and you must go to a browser to see what you have.
FP is marketed as a WYSIWYG program, when in fact it seems it is not.
I don't get it.

Bottom line, as I create a page in "normal" mode, why would it look
different in preview or in a browser?
Are all the versions of FP the same?

Thanks
