Norton Internet Security 2007 & Internet Explorer

I installed Norton Internet Security 2007 two days ago on Windows XP
(Italian version). I actually upgraded from just having Antivirus 2006
for the last year (which was fine).

Now when I open an new web page on Internet Explorer the computer emits
a short mechanical sound through my speakers. Is there any way to fix
this?

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks
