Hi,
Regarding this previous issue:
http://groups.google.co.uk/group/mi..._frm/thread/bf4c40db3c08a5c6/801ee52e2f2ab6a8
I have installed DAVE and the problem went away, however this cannot be
a good solution to the problem. I think that there is an issue with the
samba binaries included in OS X 10.4.
I am certain that the system is mounting the volumes in the same way as
I am using the same applescript to authenticate each time.
The problem occurs when opening a doc., modifying it, and then saving
back to the w2k3 share. I am able to read, write and modify text files
to the directory without a problem.
The problem occurs using OS X 10.4, but not on another machine running
10.3, authenticating against the same w2k3 PDC, using the same script.
I will include this on the Mac OS X 10.4 group too.
Thanks,
Tom
