Not able to Provision PWA site [SQL connection error]

hello all,
i've been trying to solve a strange issue. as a part of my r&d i installed
sql 2005, sharepoint services and server 2007 on windows 2003 (its a stand
alone server and added to domain)

after that i installed TFS on the same server which works fine.

after that i installed project server 2007 on the same machine. during the
installation there was no problem and post installation was also fine.

when i tried creating PWA via SSP then i came across an error which says:

Provisioning 'test': Failed to connect to database server ProjectServer with
the exception An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the
server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by
the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote
connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a
connection to SQL Server).
"

i tried all the possibilities of finding out the issue but i could not. i
also searched in google but didnt get any close solution.

please help.

Bhavtosh:

The account under which you are running the SSP, must have Database Creator
and Security Administrator roles in SQL. Can you verify this?
