Not able to recall messages. Does it require separate settings?

I am not able to successfully recall messages. I do not get any confirmation
mail saying whether recall has been successful or not. I tested the recall
mail option with my colleague and even after recalling the message, he was
able to open the mail. i don't know what settings need to be changed on my
system as another colleague of mine is able to recall mails. I am using my
office PC. Please help.

Are you using Exchange? Even when using the recall feature, it will fail if the recipient opens the message before receiving the recall message and saying yes to the recall.

Bottom line, write once, think twice.

reading.
