Not able to work on my database

After having nearly completed my project, done my
switchboard and added macros,I am unable to modify my
database! Although I am the administrator and the owner
of all the objects and have not modified any permissions,
I get the message as follows database has read only
permissions.
I greatly appreciate help in resolving this problem.

Check the file attributes on the mdb.
If you copied via a CD ROM, the file will be set to ReadOnly now.
