Not all font variants showing up...

I posted this in the general group then thought it might be better here.
sorry.
Anyway, my problem is I want to use Trebuchet MS Italic in a document for a
commercial printer, however even though the font is installed on my computer
it doesn't show up in Publisher. I tried using just the style Italics to see
if Publisher somehow converted that to the actual font, but according to the
commercial print tools it is still only using the regular Trebuchet MS font.
So, how do I get Trebuchet Italic to show up so I can use it?

your version may be corrupted and lost its italic. Replace it with new-
from-disc.

If a font does not show in an application is is a pretty good sign that
using that font will not work.

your printer driver might be substituting something for this font. This
can be discovered in the printer control panel, printer properties,
device settings tab.
