Not all graphics showing in Preview

I am designing a site on my local drive. Everything looks fine in design mode.
When I switch to preview, one of the GIFs disappears. I just see a box
outline and a small box with a red cross in it.

There are two GIFs on the main page and it only affects one of them. The
same GIF image disappears on the other pages that I place it on. If I insert
another picture (using Insert->Picture->From file) and insert the same
disappering GIF elsewhere on the page, it still disappears.

Yes. The strange thing is that it shows up fine when I view it in my local
Intenet Explorer.
