not all macros are availible when creating a document from a template

Hello all!
I am having a problem when creating documents from a template I made.
Everything works fine when I am in the template. When I create a
document from that template everything from the (microsoft word
objects) section doesn't carry over to the document. On the other hand
the (modules) section carries over with no problem. I am pretty new
to this and any help I would greatly appreciate.
Thanks,
Brian

G'day (e-mail address removed) (BA),

you dont need them to. That's the whole point of the template. Your
choices are:

* Make sure other users also have that template in their workgroup or
personal templates area (see Tools > Options > File Locations).

OR

* Stick the code in a global template in every users startup directory

OR

1. Create a doc from that template.
2. Manually move the objects over using drag'ndrop in the VBE.
3. Save as <something>-Master.doc
4. Make that file Read Only from its File > Properties.
5. Whenever you want a new doc, open that, save as and edit away.

This is a BAD solution through byte redundancy but if doc count will
be low and sitribution of templates unseemingly difficult it could be
the way to go.

Thanks Steve,
I really appreciate the reply. I am still having a problem though.
When I create my document from the template I made, the button that I
have on my form is dead.(works in template) If I open up my vb editor
and click on my 'new macros' from the tree on the left, everything is
there. If I click on 'This Document' it is blank like it isn't
getting the code from the template.

G'day (e-mail address removed) (BA),

that is the expected functionality - templates carry the common
material for the document - documents are linked to templates and have
access to their macros etc.
