Not all read receipts received are being recorded in Tracking?

P

Pete

I have outlook set up to always request a read receipt. I receive read
receipt messages in my inbox, but not all of these messages received are
being recorded in the Tracking tab on the sent message? Anybody know why?

Do they have the read receipt icon? Do they process if you open them?

It sounds like they don't have enough TNEF data to process. This can happen
if the recipient doesn't use Outlook or if they use antivirus utilities.

Hi Diane,

All recipients are using some form of Outlook, be it 2000, 2003 or 2007.
And all of them use the same edition of Norton antivirus (as all these
e-mails are internal).

Is norton scanning inbound email? It should not be scanning email on the
desktops - the server should be scanning internet mail.

Mail Marshall scans external e-mails, internal e-mails don't get scanned at
all.
