What does "it showed can not open" mean? How did you try to open it?
Directly from the email? Did you save it to your hard drive? Have you tried
Starting Excel and then using File-Open? Do you get an error message? Which
one?

Bob,

I found you're point out some to me.

The following dialog comes out when I double click on the xlsx file on my desktop or attachment in my e-mail.

"Excel can not open this file

The file might been damaged or modified from his original format."

But it can be open if I start the application first and chose "open" and chose the file from desktop. (I just found this difference).

Do you know why?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards

No, I do not know why. What version of Mac Excel are you using?
