Not detecting a connection when activating...Help!

Ok. Here is the deal. I am connected to the internet and all (through
cable) but when I try to activate Visio, it says there isnt a connection to
the internet. It wont even give me the option to activate by phone. I dont
have a clue what to do...can someone help?
