I have a large set of files with corrupt embedded Word art (an example field
code: {EMBED Word.Picture.8 }.
When I scroll down the page to these bits of art, I get the message "There
is not enough memory or disk space to display or print the picture." Which
is, of course, not true. The art itself is replaced by empty rectangles (and
by the way, "Picture Placeholders" are not turned on, so that's not the
issue).
So far, I've found one Microsoft KB article about this, but it doesn't help:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q224632
But it's not helpful, perhaps because I don't have the version of Word
they're referring to. I'm running Word XP with all patches.
Anyway, what do you recommend? How can I repair these images? Is it even
possible? If so, is there an automatic way to do it through VBA? I have a lot
of material to get through.
Thanks in advance for any tips you can provide!
