not enough memory / Outlook Express 5.02 / mac 9.2.2

i was able to retrieve email this morning. but then BAM! i can't even
open up the application. i get a warning that says "not enough
memory". i have 1.5 gigs of ram so this is not a memory issue.

i tried deleteing the preferences. then i used DiskWarrior. then i
opened a brand new version of Outlook version 5.0.6. same damn waring
came up.

infuriating. any ideas?

i gave up on entourage for similar reasons. what should i do?
