"Not enough memory to run Microsoft Office..."

When I launch any Office program(Word, Excel, etc), I get a message that says
"Not enough memory to run.....". I actually have 1.5gb of equipped 2.0gb
available, according to Task Manager and System Properties, and 8 gb of disk
space available on my C: drive. This just began in the last couple of days,
and doesn't correspond with any kind of event that I am aware of. I have done
all updates, run NAV, disk cleanup and defrag. I have XP running on a 1.5 GHZ
Centrino. I just finished re-installing Office 2007 to no avail.
What am I missing?

I'd use task manager to take a look at what else is running. (Most likely
culprit is something running in background) Next, it's remotely possible
that 8Gig of HD free space is not enough, depending upon such things as the
size of the "swap file". How large is the HD? Also, it's likely that there
is a bunch of stuff on the HD that can be deleted. As an example, my HD had
the backup files/directories for lord knows how many XP patches, since the
system was installed as an RTM version, then eventually updated to XP SP-3.

You can solve the problems by uninstalling the Microsoft Ofiice 2007
Then, make sure that you uninstall other Office products too. Go to C
Drive, locate and delete also the Microsoft Office folder found in th
Program files folder. Now install the Microsoft Office. Your problem
will be solved. Email me (e-mail address removed) to say hi
