Not enough Memory

Another memory problem.

I am running Excel 2000 SP3. I have an application, version1.xls, tha
is about 14 MB. I made a lot of changes and did a save as version2.xls
When I go to open version2.xls I get a "Not Enough Memory" error.
noticed that the size of version2.xls has jumped to 36 MB. I know i
didn't add 22 meg of data. I am still able to open version1.xls.

Any suggestions? Can I do anything to open version2.xls. I reall
need the macro's from version2.

Thanks

Some thoughts,

First, close all applications and reboot.
Do not open any programs excepy Excel
Attempt to open version2.xls - pray.
If it opens, do a shift+F11 to get to your macros.
If successful, Go to Start>All Programs>Notepad
Copy>Past the Macros to Notepad.
Save the Notepad file
Go back to Excel Edit>Go To>Special>Last Cell
Write down the Information
My guess is that you have a number of Columns and rows that
are "Used" but contain no data.
If you get this far OK sent reply to this thread
