Not Enough Resources

I have an excel spreadsheet linked to an access database. When I attempt to
do charts in excel I receive an error message which states not enough
resources to process this request. My entire screen goes out of whack! Do you
know of any settings within excel I can change that would help prevent this
from occurring-

Hi,

There are many factors that can cause this, here is an article that might
suggest some:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/166342/en-us

Certainly you can, close down other applications, and spreadsheets. You can
try to design a more efficient workbook, you can increase your computer
memory, or free hard disk space. .....

You could shut down and reboot, sometimes windows doesn't free up memory
when you close a program.

Here is a site that discusses improvements to spreadsheet performance in
general:

If this helps, please click the Yes button.

Hi guys, don't want to hijack your discussion, but I have the same problem
unanswered from the second day I put in a new Dell, top of line, fully loaded
laptop. It crashes like yours constantly. The explanation by Microsoft that
it is due to exceeing some "limit" just is not true and not the root cause.
Frankly I believe, and experiencial evidence is supportive, excel 2007 has a
fundamental problem (many) and MS does not know what it is and surley can't
fix it or privide you remedy. It is time for MS to step up to the plate. For
you, best advise given by our college's IT professionals (these are MS cert
advanced degreed folks) is to downgrade Excel 2003, it works.
