I have an end user who is working in an Excel 2003 SP3 workbook; many
worksheet tabs but small; total file size is less than 500kb. Some of the
worksheets have small pivot tables. As she navigates around in the file she
periodically receives the following pop-up message: "Not enough system
resources to display completely" and Excel stops responding. Her event logs
are clean; her CPU, memory, and paging stats all look fine. I cannot recreate
the problem. Technet notes this error (kb916592) when Terminal Services is
involved, but no TS in her scenario. This began happening within the past six
weeks and after the October MS updates were installed, but I don't have
reason to believe that is the culprit because it cannot be reproduced.
