Not enought memory to display or print the picture

I have some documents that were created a while back (1996 or so). I
have converted them to Word 2003 documents. However, some of them,
when I scroll through them to view the document, and get to certain
pictures/graphics, I get a message that says "There is not enough
memory to display or print the picture." They also will not print.
How do I get the pictures to display or print?

Thanks,
Laurie

Laurie,

What kind of memory do you have on your computer? One of the things
about all the latest Office software is that it eats up a lot of memory.
If one of your Office application is taking up memory, you might either
have to upgrade your memory or else check your system to see what you
can turn off to free up some memory.

I have had the same problem. I have 1gig ram and an 80gig hard drive
with little usage. I've ran a virus checker and everything. Other
people can see the pictures in my documents, but I can't - even when
they save them as something else and send it back to me.
Anyone solved this problem? It has stumped our IT Support guys.

I just had this happen to me- our pc tech figured out that the profile
attached to your account is corrupted. He assigned a new profile (of
course you lose your custom settings on the desktop) but it works like
a charm. Just redo the profile in windows and you should be good to go!
