Not getting all e-mails after installing Outlook 2007

We just installed Outlook 2007 on our laptop and set-up my wife's G-mail
account but we did not get all her e-mails that are on her G-mail account,
only about the last few days worth. Does anyone know if there is a
method/procedure for retreiving all the older e-mails from G-mail to
Outllook? Thanks.

Connecting via POP3?
There is an option within the Gmail web interface which allows you to set
from which date you'll download messages.
You might need to recreate the mail account in Outlook after changing this
option in the Gmail web interface.
