Not getting reminders from exchange calendar

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

I am managing a calendar through exchange unfortunately I cannot get event reminders. My day only sees my calendar. Is there a way for me to get event reminders for the events on the other calendar??? I could not find info on this anywhere.
