Not Printing Color Font

I have a HP PSC 950xi All-In-One Scanner/Printer.

Recently, my printer prints faded or inaccurate colors.

In a Word Document, a bold red word or number prints a soft grey. In an
Excell Spreadsheet, a colored cell prints a grey print background. I've
looked through my printer preferences, but am unable to locate what might be
the problem.

Please advise.

Check the printer Properties to make sure that you don't have "Grayscale"
selected.

And be sure both your ink cartridges (color and black) aren't nearly
empty.
