Not printing what is in the print preview.

I need to take notes for school in the cornell method, which if you don't know requires a table. If my notes go down to lets say halfway down the second page, when I print the document it prints the entire first page and then half of the first page again, so the printer is not printing any material on the second page. If I click file - print preview, the print preview shows exactly what I want printed (both pages) , but even if I click print directly off of the print preview the document still doesn't print correctly. How can this be fixed?

Eeeewwww.... That's a printer memory problem.

I would remove the printer and re-add it. Make sure you get the correct
driver.

In the old days, there was an option in the printer settings: "Clear memory
per page". If you have it, turn it on. I doubt if any printers have it
these days.

It can also be caused by a slow USB connection.

When you connect more than one device to a USB channel, the entire channel
slows down to the speed of the slowest device. So if you connect a Printer
and a keyboard or a mouse on the same channel, everything slows down to the
slowest speed, and the printer can't suck enough data down the line.

I suppose this could also be a corrupted cross-reference -- have you been
using cross-references or citations in that document?

It could also be a mangled header or footer, or bad document margins. You
better check those too.

Hope this helps

I am having the same problem. It is not simply related to a printer because I
have more than one printer and the problem persists.

Solved my problem. I was using a table to format a resume. I had one cell of
the table extend from one page to the next by hitting return. When the cell
extended to page 2, I continued to enter text in the cell. As soon as I made
the table cell end on page 1 and continued the text in a new cell on page 2
by inserting a new row in the table, the printing / preview problem
disappeared.
