I set up a new email account and can send email, but not receive. I have
checked and double checked my account settings and they are OK. I can access
my email by using mail2web.com.

1. If you can receive but not send then you have a bad SMTP configuration
2. If you can send but not receive you have a bad POP or IMAP configuration

You can try re-entering info.
You can delete account and create a new one.
Using copy/paste can result in an extra space being added. Type carefully.
Check your Keychain for corruption.

No error message. I can receive email on another entourage account.

I really need you to be more specific. Do you see activity in the
Progress Window? How exactly are you checking your mail? Is your account
included in a Schedule.

*Something* has to be happening. Either it's checking mail and not
finding any, or it's not able to check mail and should be generating an
error.

I am not getting any error messages from entourage.
If I go to mail2web.com and enter my account and password information, I can retrieve my messages. I have also sent messages to myself from my entourage account and have received the messages on mail2web.com. On my other entourage account, I have no trouble sending or receiving email messages. I also took your advice and deleted the account and took care in re-entering the account info. In addition, I did a soft boot on my computer and went through a disk repair. No luck.

I am not getting any error messages from entourage.

You are still not answering my questions.

How are you checking your mail? Step-by-step, please.
What happens? What do you see on the Progress Window?

PLEASE be SPECIFIC. Brutally specific. I don't care how small a detail
seems to you, I need to know.

This is not a question I asked.

Who is your email provider? Is the account an alias account? Is this account
with the same provider?

Have you checked their site to see what settings are required for advanced
settings? Many ISPs have upgraded their servers to help deal with spam and
now require advanced settings.

We have examples for many providers on this page:

OK, here you go. I will be as specific as possible. I have two entourage email accounts. The newest account is the one I am not receiving emails from, but I can send. When I check my email, I double click on the send and receive icon and select "send and receive all" in the pull down menu. The schedule in the lower right opens and tells me the wait time, which varies. I have not had any error message windows when doing any entourage activities. When I receive messages they are only from my other account.

Go to Tools > Accounts, and open up the account you're having trouble
with. Is the "Include this account in my Send & Receive All schedule"
box checked?

What happens if you go to Tools > Send & Receive and choose the problem
account?
The schedule in the lower right opens and tells me the wait time,
which varies.

The wait time will be to your next scheduled connection. If it's
actually checking your mail, you should see something different.

Thanks for your help troubleshooting this problem. I sent a screen shot of my account settings to my provider. They had given me the incorrect account ID and once I reset the ID I could receive emails.
