Microsoft is appealing the court's decision.
This past December a federal appeals court affirmed the lower court's
ruling against Microsoft. Microsoft says that it will continue to
appeal, but at this point their chances of prevailing appear slim.

European regulators have fined Microsoft very heavily recently for
anti-competitive behavior. There has been speculation that
Microsoft's OpenXML format is on its way out and that it will be
supplanted with the Open Document Format (ODF).
Microsoft has committed to supporting the Open Document Format (ODF)
in the future. Though it remains to be seen if they will only do so
half-heartedly.
